The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared a class 10 student of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Road, who had failed to appear for her final board exam this year, “passed” with a CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 4.2.


BRS Nagar residents irked over new welfare society head

In a development that has not gone down well with area residents, Maninderpal Singh ‘Sunny’, a close aide of Youth Akali Dal chief Bikram Singh Majithia, was appointed president of the Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar (East) Welfare Society on Sunday. The move came in the wake of a protest held by a large number of area residents, mostly senior citizens, against the society’s office bearers on Saturday evening.
