Hunt on for fast bowlers, spinners

The Punjab Cricket Academy (PCA) will hold open trials for budding fast bowlers and spinners at the local Burlton Park in Jalandhar on Tuesday.
The PCA is going to conduct open trials for the selection of budding youngsters in order to spot potential fast bowlers and spinners. Those budding bowlers whose age is between 16 and 18 on September 1, this year may take part in the trials which will start at 10 am.
While there is no eligibility of height for spinners, however the PCA will prefer the height for the youngster participating in the trials for fast bowlers around 5'10''.
The PCA advised the willing bowlers to carry original date of birth certificates issued by Municipal Corporations or Committees as the case may be at the time of trials.
The trials at Burlton Park will be held for the budding bowlers belonging to Jalandhar and neighbouring Kapurthala and Nawanshahr districts.
The PCA is conducting trials in various parts of the state to spot potential fast bowlers and spinners from February 12 to 18.
