 Youth FestivalHoshiarpur govt college wins 9 events

 Hoshiarpur, October 11Government College, Hoshiarpur, clinched the titles of nine competitions out of the 10 events held on the second day of the Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival (Zone B) at Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian, near here today.
 In neck-and-neck contests, the host college, Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian, was adjudged the best in 10 competitions out of the 14 events held on the inaugural day on Wednesday.
         Photography, on-the-spot painting, rangoli making, poster making, clay modelling, still life, collage making, cartooning, folk dance and kali were organised today, while essay writing, story writing, poem writing, kavishri, crochet work, pakhi making, cross stitch, knitting, phulkari/bagh, ladies traditional song, vaar singing, vaar singing (individual prizes), kavishri (individual prizes), and quiz were the events for the first day.
