changed: Due to the rain, the venue of tomorrow’s kirtan darbar being organised by the Punjab and Sind Bank has been changed. Mr Jaswant Singh, Administrative Officer at the local head office of the bank, said instead of Sector 17 Bank Square, the kirtan darbar would now be held at the Sector 8 gurdwara. The timings remain the same.

Best panchayat: The panchayat of Raipur Rodan has been declared as the best panchayat in the district for doing excellent work in the field of education. The panchayat was selected as the best by a district-level committee constituted for the purpose. In order to encourage the other gram panchayats, the government will give Rs 50,000 to the panchayat as award for its contribution.Rewari
Youth looted: Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Khuddan village, was looted of Rs 28,500 allegedly by a woman at her dwelling in Shastri Nagar here where he spent the night on Wednesday. It is stated that the youth had gone with her to her dwelling. However, the next morning he was shocked to find that his pocket, which contained Rs 28,500, had been emptied.
