‘Each one feed one’ campaign
NEW DELHI, December 29 (PTI) — A few noble souls are all set to launch a novel "world war against hunger" to feed the needy millions in the country. Known as, ‘Each one feed one’ campaign, the brainchild of a lawyer-activist Mr R.K. Jain, this movement aims at heralding the first day of the new century as a "hunger-free day". "The focus of this movement is to involve societal participation in the process of eradicating hunger from the country since the government’s initiative to do so has miserably failed," Mr Jain said. On January 1, 2000, around 1 lakh people would be fed in Delhi and Chandigarh.
