Illegal quarrying under authorities' nose
SAS NAGAR, Dec 29 — Large-scale illegal quarrying in agricultural lands on the embankments of a seasonal rivulet traversing its way through some villages of SAS Nagar sub-division, is taking place right under the nose of the authorities.

Court firing case set to be filed
CHANDIGARH, Dec 29 — Nearly one and a half years after 45 minutes of indiscriminate firing outside the Sector 17 District Courts complex, the first of its kind, had sent shock waves around the city, the Chandigarh police has recommended treating the case as untraced.
