16 dead in fire NEW DELHI, May 31 (UNI) — At least 16 persons, including four children, were killed and nearly 100 injured when a major fire engulfed the densely populated Lal Quan commercial area of the Hauz Qazi police station in old Delhi today. Casualties in the fire, which broke out at 3.55 pm and was contained at around 5.10 pm, was likely to go up as the condition of some of the 70 injured, admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain Hospital, was described as "critical".
