Oct 1 — The prohibitory orders issued by the
Chandigarh Administration to check the influx of migrants
at regular intervals have failed to have any effect,
going by the ground realities.
Chain snatchers strike again
SAS NAGAR, Oct 1 — Chain snatchers have
again struck in the township. At least three incidents of
chain snatching have been reported in the township in the
past 24 hours.

Constable's kin promised job

Oct 1 — The bhog ceremony of Constable Bhagwan Singh
of 26 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force who
died on September 18 in a landmine blast at the Palamau
constituency in Bihar, was held in his home village,
Nabha Sahib, near here, today.
Doctors surrender in court
KHARAR, Oct
1 — Two doctors of SAS Nagar — Dr S. Saha and
Dr (Mrs) Suman Grover — against whom a case under
Section 304 A and 34 IPC was registered at SAS Nagar for
causing the death of a 34-year-old patient due to alleged
negligence, surrendered before Mr Sanjay Agnihotri,
Judicial Magistrate, Kharar, today.
Speed limit fixed in SAS Nagar

flying start with the Wildlife Department of Haryana
releasing Indian Red Jungle Fowl, a pheasant species of
