Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departures: They were markedly above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 47.8C recorded at Hindon (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 5: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 5: Heat wave conditions are prevailing.

Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Dust storm/thunderstorm accompanied by squall is likely in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 44C.
