Thousands of dismissed or retrenched government employees of Haryana have
decided to oppose the INLD candidates in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in
the state. They decided to oppose the INLD candidates so as to expose the
policies of the Haryana Government, which were against the interest of the

Delhi ranks
fifth in accident mortality rate
New Delhi, April 8
Even as the number of deaths due to road accidents in Delhi has come down from
2,000 in 1998 to 1,600 in 2003, the national Capital ranks fifth in terms of
accident death rates in the country. According to a recent study, Delhi had an
estimated annual rate of all injuries at 116 per 1000 population and annual rate
of traffic related injuries at 29 per 1000 population.
