Amid indications that Haryana PCC chief Bhajan Lalís son Chander Mohan would be appointed Deputy Chief Minister, AICC members today talked to state Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda about the distribution of portfolios to the 10 ministers who had taken the oath on March 10.

The Gujarat Chief Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, was ďconfined to the airportís VIP lounge for over three hours today following a demonstration by Congress and CPM supporters. This was Mr Modiís first visit to the city after the Gujarat riots.

BJP chief L K Advani has yet again defended Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, under criticism from his party legislators for his style of functioning, saying there are no complaints about his administrative capacity.

19 killed in bus mishap near Mussoorie
Dehra Dun, March 13
Nineteen persons were killed and many injured in a bus accident near Dhanolti ahead of Mussoorie today. The accident took place when the bus carrying about 30 passengers fell into a 1500-foot deep gorge late in the afternoon, officials said.
