Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Ambala, Chandigarh and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 4 each and Delhi Ridge and Karnal 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Solangnala 8, Nagrotasurian 7, Guler, Ghamroor, Shimla and Sunnibhaji 5 each, Pandoh 4, Bharwain, Kandaghat and Nadaun 3 each, Bhuntar and Mehre 2 each and Bhang, Dhundhi, Kahu and Sujanpurtira 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote and Jammu 3 each and Banihal 1, Punjab: Nangal 4 and Ludhiana 3, East Rajasthan: Raipur 9, Karera and Mount Abu 6 each, Shamugarh 5, Bayana 4, Degod, Mokhunda and Todabhim 3 each, Bhopal Sagar, Kapasan, Masuda and Veir 2 each and Baran, Bijolia, Govindgarh, Kumher, Kushalgarh, Nathdwara, Roopaheli, Rajsamand, Tapukara and Vallabh Nagar 1 each, West Rajasthan: Barmer 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich and Phaphamau 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi 3 and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 5, Bausan, Kalagarh and Uttarkashi 1 each.
