Minimum tenure of Commanding Officers to be of 24 months
Chandigarh, September 28
To facilitate the implementation of the first phase of the A.V. Singh Committee report on cadre restructuring, Army Headquarters has fixed 24 months as the minimum command tenure for officers in the rank of colonel. Earlier, the average command tenure in this rank used to be about a year-and-a half.
Rs 20 crore power boost for Mohali

Rodrigues for pro-active role of banks

Rodrigues (retd), Governor of Punjab and UT Administrator, has called for a pro-active role by banks and financial institutions for bringing about social change, poverty alleviation and improving the quality of life of dis-advantaged sections of society. Inquiry begins in NCC girl molestation case
