Teenager’s body found

The decomposed body of a 16-year-old boy was found from Chandikotla jungle adjoining the Chandimandir area. The boy, Khalil, resident of a nearby village, had gone missing over a week back.

With less than a week left for the filing of nomination papers for the December-20 elections to the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MCC), the sharing of seats in the BJP-SAD-CVM alliance is proving to be a proverbial Gordian knot.
Day 1: no papers filed

No nomination papers were filed for elections to the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation on the first day today.
The nomination papers are to be filed with the returning officers concerned by December 1, official sources said. These can also be filed on Saturday.
