Farmers stage dharna outside DC’s office

Activists of 17 farmer organisations staged a dharna outside the deputy commissioner’s office here today. The leaders of farmer organisations’ like the Kirti Kisan Union, Jamhoori Kisan Union, Bhati Kisan Union (Ekta), Kirti Kisan Sabha, Pendu Mazdoor Union and the Dehati Khet Mazdoor Sabha were protesting against the state government’s move to levy power bills on tube wells, water charges and domestic consumption.
