Amid a spurt in complaints of mobile thefts in waiting areas and patient wards at the PGIMER, installing CCTV cameras at overcrowded points has turned out to be an effective tool to catch thieves red-handed.
3 cases of swine flu reported
Chandigarh, February 3
Three cases of swine flu were reported in the city today. These included one case from Sector 15 and two cases from Punjab. The total number of the cases reported in the tricity region, including Panchkula and Mohali, has reached 19 since September, 2012. The spread of the disease intensified in the beginning of December, 2012, while only one case was reported in September.
