Seminar held on opportunities for farmers: A seminar on ‘Opportunities for small and marginal farmers’ was organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Deputy Director, Training, Dr Harinder Singh said there were 27 per cent small and marginal farmers in Fatehgarh Sahib district and a majority of them were economically weaK. He suggested them to opt for bee-keeping, mushroom cultivation, agro-processing, kitchen gardening, nutritional gardening of vegetables, pulses, oilseeds and fruits to make a
