Unified action required to combat drug menace: BJP leader
Ludhiana, June 13
If Punjab Government wants to model itself on Gujarat, it should not forget that Gujarat is a dry state. Former Health Minister and senior BJP leader Laxmi Kanta Chawla said this while talking to The Tribune today. She was in the city on her way back from Mandi Ahmedgarh where she had gone to attend the cremation of an RSS leader.

Admn to begin drive against beggary

COURTS

High Court stays release of movie
Ludhiana, June 13
With the stay order on the release of Punjabi movie ĎO my Pyo Jií that was set to be released on June 13, the hopes of the actors and fans awaiting the movie lie dashed. The release was stalled by a stay order from Ludhiana court on May 30 and it was later maintained by Punjab and Haryana High Court until the next hearing in July. The screening of the movie was stalled after Raj Yuvraj Singh Bains moved to court that Niharika Sahni, granddaughter of actor Balraj Sahni had denied him the rights as a co-producer.
