Dec 8 The Administrator of Chandigarh, Lieut-Gen
J.F.R. Jacob (retd), has frozen the administrative
boundaries of the district, town, tehsil and villages etc
of the Union Territory with effect from January 1, 2000,
under the Census Rules, 1990, under the Census Act, 1948.
