3 MDU employees suspended ROHTAK, Sept 2 The Vice-Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University has today ordered suspension of three employees of the Publication Cell on charges of manipulating the tampering with official records to create evidence against the authorities in a pre-planned conspiracy. The employees are Mrs Gunwati, Mr Kartar Singh Malik, both assistants and Mr Azad Singh Nandal, clerk. The Vice-Chancellor said that after perusal of original record "I am convinced that the official record, i.e., stock registers, have been manipulated and tampered with (for) ulterior motives". He has constituted a two-member committee, comprising of Dr Surender Kumar, Prof and Head of Economics Department and Mr Ram Narain, Principal, University College, to look into the affair. The committee has been asked to submit its report within two weeks. Meanwhile, Baba Mastnath Ayurved and Sanskrity Shikshan Sansthan have, in a letter to the Registrar, protested against the alleged migration of a second year student of its dental college to Government Dental College, Rohtak. The Sansthan said that migration of a student admitted against paid seats would adversely affect the viability of its dental college, still in its infancy. The letter said that neither the college nor the trust had made any recommendations nor issued a no-objection certificate. Interestingly the dental college run by Baba Mastnath Shikshan Sansthan has not been recognised by the Dental Council of India and migration would be tacit recognition. Highly informed sources, however told TNS that though a girl student had applied for migration from the Dental College, Asthal Bohar to Government Dental College, the Vice-Chancellor has not allowed any such migration. The letter written by the Sikshak Sansthan thus appears to be a preemptive step. These sources further told that the Commissioner and Secretary, Health has telephonically advised the Director, Pt B.D. Sharma PGIMS not to admit any student to the Government Dental College, Rohtak till formal approval of the government was obtained on the migration carried out by the university. The Registrar, too, has
reportedly advised the concerned Assistant Registrar that
the migration regulations framed by the Dental Council of
India should be borne in mind before the migration of any
candidate was allowed. |
