New Delhi, January 1
Cold wave conditions have abated from Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Haryana and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3C recorded at Bhiwani (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 3: Weather will be dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 3: Hazy sky. Chilly winds to continue. Fog in the morning. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 20C and 6C, respectively.
