Military aid in doldrums as Nepal arrests Deuba
New Delhi, April 27
By arresting former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Nepal's King Gyanendra has put into reverse gear his nearly three-month-old demand: that India resumes its military supplies to Nepal, suspended since the February 1 royal coup. |

Amritsar-Howrah Mail derails
Ludhiana, April 27
Hundreds of passengers aboard the Amritsar-Howrah Mail had a providential escape when one of its bogeys got derailed near Giaspura late tonight after a bull was crushed under the train and got stuck up.
