Shaurya Divas: The BJP today observed the Shaurya Divas on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Divas at three different functions.
The Kisan Morcha held a programme at the Behlana panchayat ghar, under the leadership of Mohinder Singh, president of the Morcha. Harmohan Dhawan, senior BJP leader, was the main speaker on the occasion.

Jayanti, which falls on July 31. A lecture on “Smriti Premchand” by Dr Virendra

Appointment letters: Prof Laxmi Kanta Chawla, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, gave away appointment letters to 11 ayurvedic medical officers and 47 upvaids, at a function held at the State Institute of the Health and Family Welfare here on Monday. These posts have been filled under the National Rural Health Mission on contract basis against vacant posts after confirmation from waiting list according to different categories. Zirakpur
Guru Purnima: The Patanjali Yogpeeth and the Bharat Swabhimaan Trust, Zirakpur, celebrated ‘Guru Purnima’ with great zeal and spirit on Sunday at the Royal Estate. Col Jagwant Bhatt (retired) was the chief guest on the occasion. Jasbir Singh, Purush Prabhari Yogpeeth, and Dr Sethi, a special guest, were also present on occasion. Giving the information about the celebrations, Krishna, woman president of the yogpeeth stated that the function started with the yoga classes. Krishan said the function was organised by Sunil Kumar, a yoga teacher. A tree plantation drive was also conducted and Sethi distributed herbal trees among the devotees. During the function, Sethi explained about the importance of natural life. He inspired the residents to love nature.
