Summer course ends
: Four Class XI students of Ryan International School completed the ‘Beyond Breaking News’ summer course at Ryan International School, Malad, Mumbai. Students who went for the course were Gurasis, Mansirat, Sukhman and Kiranpreet. A media initiative of the Ryan International Group of Institution imparts formal training to young student journalists (age group 11 to 21) for a TV news presentation and production course.

HIKE REJECTED: The SAD has rejected the 16 per cent hike in the support price of paddy to Rs 1,250 and said that nothing below minimum a 50 per cent hike was acceptable. The party also rejected the MSP for cotton at Rs 3,600 and Rs 3,900. It said that nothing below Rs 5,000 for cotton and Rs 1,750 for paddy would be acceptable to the farmers.

Workshop on dining etiquettes
: Do you know which cutlery to select for a five-course meal? How do you indicate the server that you are ready to order? Hundreds of such questions were asked, audience challenged, and then informed and evolved over a gruelling two hours workshop on "Fine Dining Etiquette" organised by Ludhiana Management Association.


Jat samiti to review quota plan:
The All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti will review its strategy on the reservation issue in view of the meeting of Congress leaders from five states led by CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda with the Home Minister. The Haryana unit of the samiti would meet at Charkhi Dadri on June 17 for the purpose.


Two killed in mishap
: Two persons died in a road mishap in Tehri district today. An Alto car carrying six persons fell into a gorge near Tachhla in Tehri district. Two persons died on the spot and four others sustained serious injuries.
