Rs 1.25 crore liquor seized:
The Rajasthan Police intercepted two trucks on the national highway on Saturday and seized 2,500 cartons of liquor. Four persons were held with liquor worth Rs 1.25 crore. The police have arrested Kaka Singh (45) of Sangrur, Bhan Singh (50) of Kaithal, Ramesh Meghwal and Ravi Singh Meghwal of Hisar.

Navratri festival held: Nari Chetna, an NGO, organised Navratri festival in Sriganganagar on Sunday. Garba dance and quiz contest were some of the main events held. 

Navratra Utsav: ‘Pavilion’ celebrated a special three-day Navratra Utsav. The festival offered a fun-filled experience to visitors with great shopping offers on top brands, food treats, including special Navratra fair and a host of fun-filled activities such as astrologer, tarot card reader, bangle stall, magic shows, dandiya performance and wheel of fortune. Bittu is market body chief:
The state government on Saturday appointed Manjinder Singh Bittu, son of Akal Takht head Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, as chairman of Market Committee, Bariwala. Bittu is Muktsar circle president of the SAD. His wife, Lakhvir Kaur, is the chairperson of Panchayat Samiti, Muktsar.



Venod Sharma motivates party alliance workers
: Haryana Jan Chetna Party president Venod Sharma met the alliance workers from Kalka, Pinjore, Raipur Rani and Morni areas. He reviewed the election-related arrangements in the constituency and asked the workers to campaign strategically at booth levels.
