Liquor pouches seized
CHANDIGARH, Sept 17 — As many as 100 pouches of country liquor were seized from two persons in two separate cases in the last 48 hours. Jilu Kumar, a resident of Daddu Majra, was arrested with 50 pouches of liquor. In another case Balki of Kumar Colony in Sector 25 was caught red handed while carrying 50 pouches of country liquor.

Insurance company penalised
PANCHKULA, Sept 17— The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum ordered the New India Insurance Company, Panchkula, to pay Rs 77,500 for mediclaim at 12 per cent interest per annum from February 21, 1998, till the date of actual payment, Rs 5,000 for mental agony and harassment and Rs 1,000 as costs of proceedings to Mr R.N. Khurana, a resident of Panchkula.
