We will defeat terrorism: PM
New Delhi, August 15
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee today made a diplomatic move by not spewing venom against Pakistan in his Independence Day speech from the ramparts of Red Fort, though he minced no words in criticising Islamabad’s double-standards of terrorism and declaring that "we will defeat the forces of terrorism".

No hand in Shivani’s murder: Minister

The Shivani Bhatnagar murder case took a dramatic turn tonight when Ms Madhu Sharma, wife of Mr Ravi Kant Sharma, IPS, who is accused by the Delhi Police as the prime suspect in the case, named the Union Parliamentary Minister, Mr Pramod Mahajan, as being responsible for the murder.

For the first time after free pricing of motor fuels introduced from June 1, the oil companies today announced a cut-of-upto 21 paise in retail selling prices of petrol and diesel, reflecting a stable global crude situation.
