The Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly, Mr Ajay Maken, has called for an
apolitical and fully-equipped police force in the Capital. “It should be a
terror for criminals and a helping hand to law-abiding citizens,” Mr Maken
said while participating in a debate organised by the Delhi Police on its
foundation day in Hindu College.

DTC to bear names
of destinations in Urdu, Punjabi
New Delhi, February 14
The Delhi Transport Corporation buses will soon sport the names of destinations
in Urdu and Punjabi. The two languages became the official languages of
Government of NCT of Delhi late last year.

orders under Section 144 CRPC, banning the assembly of five or more persons and
carrying of firearms within 200 metres of the examination centres set up for the
middle standard examinations by the Board of School Education Haryana in Sonepat
district.

Passengers looted
Ghaziabad, February 14
Two innocent passengers in Unchahar Express were looted after being served
eatables laced with drugs. The thugs detrained with their luggage and cash. The
GRP, Ghaziabad, rushed the two unconscious passengers, identified as Bachoo and
Anil, to a government hospital late last night.
