Brokers surrender Rs 2.05 cr income

Income tax surveys on four local firms of share brokers yesterday yielded rich dividends as three of these companies made a voluntary surrender of concealed income to the extent of Rs 2.05 crore.

'Muslim reservation issue not to impact NDA unity'

The BJP general secretary, Ms Sushma Swaraj, today said that there was no threat to the National Democratic Alliance in view of the Muslim reservation controversy. She agreed that there was a difference of opinion among some of the constituent members, but that did not mean the alliance was on the rocks.
