The CBI�s closure report in the sensational Aarushi murder case will come up before the court tomorrow even as the teenager's father, Rajesh Talwar, named as prime suspect, today said he would challenge the agency's findings.

Curfew in Bhikhi after violent clash
Bhikhi (Mansa), January 2
Curfew was clamped on Bhikhi town of Mansa district following a clash between hundreds of followers of hardline Sikh preacher Baljeet Singh Daduwal and the police force drawn from various districts this afternoon. It was a free-for-all as radicals hurled stones at police personnel, who countered them by resorting to firing, lathicharge, throwing bricks, lobbing tear gas shells and using water cannons.

India joins UNSC as key global player

India has joined the UN Security Council as its non-permanent member for a two-year term after a gap of 19 years, hoping that the seat at the high table will not only cement its place as a key global player, but also pave the way for becoming a permanent member of the powerful wing of the world body. Beginning January 1, India along with Germany, Portugal, South Africa and Columbia became the five non-permanent members of this 15-member body.

After learning that the house, where Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi had stayed from 1908 to 1910 as a young lawyer, was on sale, state-owned Coal India Ltd had attempted to buy it in August 2009 but it was snapped up by a French tourism company in an auction.
