Illegal mining endangers bridge
BHANKHARPUR, July 8 — Certain contractors have been indulging in illegal mining on the bed of the Ghaggar, endangering the bridge on National Highway No.22 near here. While the Punjab Mining Department is losing revenue to the tune of crores of rupees, the practice has become a boon for contractors.
