The Home Ministry issued a notification extending till June 30 the term of the one-man inquiry commission constituted by then Prime Minister PV Narsimha Rao to probe into the demolition of the disputed structure on December 6, 1992.

Tax Department today cancelled the tax exemption certificate 12(A)
issued to the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) as a charitable
institution on grounds that it was indulging in widespread commercial
activity.
