Youth kidnapped
: A man who had come to the local District Courts for evidence in a case was kidnapped by some car-borne youths on Wednesday morning. The victim, Jora Singh, who was going on his motorcycle, was forcibly takenaway in a car by the youths. The police said Jora Singh had financial disputes with many people.

Free eye camp
: As many as 312 eye patients were examined at a free eye camp organised by the OP Jindal Gramin Jan Kalyan Sansthan at Sandholi village, 10 km from here, on Wednesday. It was inaugurated by Gopal Kaushik, Director, Haryana Co-operative Bank. A sansthan spokesman said 54 patients suffering from cataract would be operated free of cost while 158 patients suffering from poor eyesight would be given free spectacles.

Mishap victim dies: Ranjeet Singh, a resident of Guhna in this district, succumbed to his injuries in the PGI, Chandigarh, on Wednesday. His motorcycle was hit by another motorbike near Mathana village, 10 km from here, on Wednesday.

Plantation camp: The NSS unit of Kurukshetra University organised a one-day sapling plantation camp on the varsity campus here on Wednesday today. As many as 300 saplings were planted, said Dr CDS Kaushal, programme coordinator, NSS, Kurukshetra University.
