�84 riots: Delhi Cabinet�s go-ahead for SIT probe
New Delhi, February 6
The Delhi Government on Thursday gave its nod to a proposal to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
The SIT will re-investigate the First Information Reports (FIR) pertaining to the riots and also file fresh cases, if necessary.
CBI indicts 4 IB men in Ishrat encounter
Ahmedabad, February 6
The Central Bureau of Investigation today charged IB�s retired special director Rajinder Kumar and three other officers with conspiracy and murder but let off Narendra Modi�s close aide Amit Shah in the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case.
Shah�s name was not mentioned in the supplementary chargesheet filed in the special CBI court in spite of allegations levelled against him by a former police officer.

inquiry against Punjab Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi in a case of his
enrolment as a voter at several places in Amritsar and Tarn Taran
districts will also bring under the scanner the role of deputy
commissioner-cum-district electoral officers posted in these districts
in 2012. The record pertaining to enrolment of Joshi and seven of his
family members has reportedly gone missing from the electoral
registration offices in Amritsar and Tarn Taran.
SAI cracks the whip, suspends wrestling coach
Hisar, February 6
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) today suspended its coach at the Haryana Agriculture University centre over allegations of sexual harassment by female wrestlers.
Satbir Singh has been directed to report to the SAI headquarters with immediate effect. The SAI director general office took action against Satbir on complaints lodged by female wrestlers.
