Family members of Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna, the founding president of the Ghadar Party, initiates akhand path to commemorate his150th birth anniversary that falls on January 4.

Baba Bhakna’s great grandson Jasbir Singh Gill said the ceremony would be held at Bhakna village. “The bhog of akhand path will be on January 4 and is expected to be attended by CPI leaders. Various programmes have been scheduled in which kavishri jathas will recite vaars of national integration dedicated to Baba. Various activists who worked for social cause would also be recognised on the occasion”, he said.
