Mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu and Commissioner Kumar Saurabh Raj have decided to conduct meetings with councillors in all five urban Assembly constituencies regarding ward-level development works. A meeting of the councillors of the Amritsar East and Amritsar South constituencies was held here on Friday evening.

Newly appointed Commissioner Kumar Saurabh Raj was welcomed by the councillors present in the meeting. Each councillor was heard separately by the Mayor and the Commissioner and the problems related to wards were noted. The councillors present in the meeting were assured by the Mayor and the Commissioner that all the works related to their wards, which have been passed in the House, would be started soon. In the meeting, the contract committee was asked to prepare estimates of ward-wise works costing Rs 25-30 lakh so that these projects could be implemented.

In today’s meeting, councillors Jatinder Kaur Sonia, Jeet Singh Bhatia, Dalbir Singh Manmanke and others were present.
