The table tennis (women) team of IGN College, Ladwa, won the bronze medal at the Kurukshetra University Inter-College Table Tennis Women’s Championship held at SD College, Ambala Cantonment.

In this competition, the women’s team of the college defeated teams from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Karnal, and Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamunanagar, to secure the bronze medal. The team was led by Chanchal, BA third year student and included Sonia, Dilpreet and Ruby.

In the first qualifying match, the team defeated the team of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Karnal, to advance to the league stage. The league matches were played between IGN College, Ladwa; Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar; Guru Nanak Women’s College, Yamunanagar; and SD College, Ambala.

In these matches, the team won against Guru Nanak Women’s College, Yamunanagar, securing the bronze medal Principal Dr Kushal Pal said that these students managed to balance their studies along with their training in the college, achieving this special recognition at Kurukshetra University.

The Chairman of the College Management Committee, Pawan Garg, said, “In the future, our students will continue to bring pride to the college and Ladwa.”
