Negligence in keeping an annual confidential report (ACR) and other documents pertaining to teachers and other staff at the Department of School Education (DSE) will now draw disciplinary action against concerned officials in the district.
2-minute silence at govt offices
AdvertisementThe state government has directed heads of all department to observe two-minute silence in their offices at 11 am on Tuesday as a mark of respect to all those people who had sacrificed their lives during the freedom movement.
The office of Chief Vigilance Officer at the DSE recently issued an order while taking a serious note of inputs that the ACR and other documents of subordinates were not being maintained properly by their bosses in some schools/offices, sources said.
As per the order, the District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Elementary Education Officers (DEEOs) would now be accountable if any sort of case is found pending in their subordinate offices.
“Service books, ACR and other documents of the employees, including teachers and others, are kept at the office of Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of schools and other offices like BEO, DEEO and DEO etc. The officers concerned make entries about the pay fixation, annual increment and earned leave in the service book of their subordinate,” said an official of the DSE.
The official said keeping personal file of every employee safe was responsibility of the DDOs of schools and head of other offices. In case of missing of such documents may put the employee concerned in trouble, he added.
