In view of the upcoming apple season in Kinnaur district, Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Sharma inspected the bypass road near Nathpa today.

He directed officials of the SJVNL to ensure the maintenance of the Bailey bridge on the bypass road, allowing freight vehicles to pass through easily during the apple season. This measure aims to facilitate the farmers and orchardists of the district in transporting their produce to the markets without any inconvenience.

The DC also inspected the National Highway-5 at Nigulsari and instructed officials of the NHAI and PWD to ensure the availability of adequate machinery and labour to promptly restore the road in case of any disaster.
