Hamirpur, December 7

Sufi singer Kanwar Grewal enthralled the audience at the first cultural evening of the state-level Hamir Utsav here yesterday. He started his performance with his most popular number “Na jayee Mastan de Vede”. His songs “Toomba Vajjda”, “Tiktan Do Ley Lei” and “Samne hove yaar” were liked by one and all. Artistes presented nati and giddha. Belly dance by Shiva Khan was the highlight of the event.

Earlier, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur lit the lamp. He also released a souvenir.

Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur, MLAs Narender Thakur and Kamesh Kumari, vice-chairman of HRTC Vijay Agnihotri, coordinator of the HP Kaushal Vikas Nigam Naveen Sharma were present on the occasion.
