Amid the ongoing controversy over the rolls for the Bihar elections, the Election Commission on Monday issued a slew of 'fact-checks', claiming to allay misgivings as it countered Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's post on it. The EC on X said: “The (Kharge’s) claim that no document is required and only filling the form is sufficient, is misleading.... There is no change in instructions. SIR is being conducted as per the orders dated 24.06.2025. The filled form before 25th July is mandatory, but the documents can be submitted either before 25th July or during the objection period.”
