Jalandhar, August 2
The Mazhabi Sikh and Valmiki communities have hailed the decision of the Supreme Court on the issue of quota within quota for reservation in education, employment and promotions on government posts.
Former Congress MLA Sukhwinder Singh Danny, who had been flagging the issue on various platforms, said the community was upbeat at the apex court’s decision. “The Mazhabi Sikh and Valmiki communities are the ones which deserve uplift. The order passed by the seven-member panel of the Supreme Court regarding 50 per cent reservation with first preference to our community is being celebrated.
