Two youths killed in road accident

Two youths tragically lost their lives in a fatal road accident near Chaheru village today. According to information, both were on way to Gurdwara Sri Hemkund Sahib with their friends in a car (bearing registration number PB-02DU-2608) when another speeding car (bearing registration number PB-07Z-5386) crashed into their vehicle near Lovely Professional University in the wee hours today.

The deceased were identified as Narinder Singh, a resident of Fatehgarh Churian, and Harman Singh, a resident of Amritsar. Other car occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police registered a case under Sections 106 and 281 of the BNS and Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act against Hoshiarpur residents Gurpreet Singh and his friend Manish Chaudhary for negligent driving which snuffed out lives of two youths. Bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families after a post-mortem examination.
