How do you feel about the re-run?

I am really happy and excited that such a beautiful show is coming back and that too on Shemaroo TV. It has been a great ride. After Saubhagyawati Bhava, people’s perception of me as an actor, as a performer has changed.

What was the feedback on your character, Viraj Dobriyal?

People loved to hate Viraj Dobriyal. They couldn’t stop hating him, but they loved him too. Not the wife-beater part, but his erratic character and psycho behaviour.

Did you improvise on the scenes?

The entire character was improvised. It was not what the makers thought it would be. They thought of my character as a villain throughout. I just improvised.

Any fond memory related to the show?

The best part of the show was that all the people present on the sets would give their creative inputs, and we would incorporate as many as we could.

How are you spending your quarantine time?

I am spending as much time as I can with my family, my kids. Children have their own way of thinking. They don’t think logically, they think emotionally. I am trying to cater to their emotional needs.
