Dr Simranjeet Kaur Gill, Dean Academics, of CT University was bestowed with the prestigious “Best Principal Award” by the National EduTrust of India, an organisation registered under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

This distinguished recognition was awarded during the Sustainability Excellence Awards Ceremony held at Chitkara University, Punjab, where 13 principals and 6 nodal officers were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions in sustainability, environmental leadership and innovation.

The ceremony was graced by the guest of honour Jit Kumar Gupta, a stalwart in the fields of architectural education and urban policy, with a remarkable legacy spanning 55 years in sustainable development, smart cities and green infrastructure.

Among a competitive pool of 430 nominees from institutions across Punjab, Dr Gill stood out for her forward-thinking academic leadership, commitment to sustainability and her transformative work in higher education.

Samarth Sharma, CEO of National EduTrust of India, commended all winners, stating, “The awardees represent the true spirit of progressive education.”
