PAU mourns hockey star Rajvinder Singh who participated in 1971 Hockey World Cup
Rajvinder Singh was a celebrated alumnus of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, where he completed his B.Sc from the College of Agriculture. During his graduation, he participated in the 1971 Hockey World Cup, and became the second hockey player from PAU to represent the Indian national team, following in the footsteps of Prithipal Singh, who remains the first hockey player to have brought the honour to PAU.
A condolence meeting was organised by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare, PAU, at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Auditorium, today. Rich tributes were paid to the decorated hockey player who brought honour and repute to his alma mater.
