The announcement was made at a Baisakhi conference held by the party at Talwandi Sabo, where Faridkot MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa urged party activists to work diligently over the next a year and half to promote Amritpal Singh's ideals and ensure his election as the Chief Minister in 2027. Tarsem Singh, father of Amritpal Singh, stressed the need for greater autonomy for Punjab, advocating more powers to the state to address regional concerns effectively.
