The entire village, once known due to Satya Dev Chaudhary who served as Revenue Minister also, got flooded due to the heavy rains. Due to waist-level water filling the streets, rainwater entered people's houses. Valuable household goods got submerged. Village sarpanch Dhanni Devi said the roofs and walls of houses of about 30 persons, including Bhim Sain, Bihari Lal, Geeta, Madan Lal, Mohinder Kumar, Bhagwan Dass and Rajinder Kumar, had collapsed partly. Water accumulated in about 100 houses.

The village pond is almost completely filled. If it rains now, more houses would get submerged, said a resident.
