Chandigarh, January 31

A video of a Pakistani singer and songwriter Bilal Saeed suddenly throwing his microphone at the audience and walking off the stage has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place during the Punjab Group of Colleges’s youth festival in Phalia, Pakistan.

The video shows the singer performing his 2012 hit ‘Ku Ku’ and then stopping and throwing the mic with full force. In another video, students are also seen “misbehaving”.

He then walked off the stage in the middle of the concert, leaving his gathering wondering. The singer did not return to the stage and the event was eventually cancelled.

After facing flak over the incident, Bilal Saeed gave clarification: “The stage has always been my whole world. I have always felt the most complete and the most alive while performing! I forget my sickness, stress, worries. I leave everything behind when I perform for my fans.

“No matter what, nothing should have come in the way of me and the respect that my stage deserved from me.

“I love my fans and sometimes that love can be overwhelming for both sides. It wasn’t the first time someone was misbehaving in the crowed but it was definitely the first time I gave the wrong reaction! I should have never left the stage.”

Fans say he may have admitted that it was not a right thing to leave the stage, but the singer didn’t apologise for his actions.
