ile investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Rhea Chakraborty on September 8, 2020. After staying for more than a month in Mumbai’s Byculla jail, Rhea was granted bail by the Bombay High Court. Now, her bail has been challenged in the Supreme Court by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The case will be heard on Thursday (March 18).
Meanwhile, recently, NCB had submitted a chargesheet in the drugs case related to SSR. Rhea was accused of illicit trafficking and harbouring offenders. These charges fall under Section 27A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the person convicted is sent 10 to 20 years of imprisonment.
